English Country Garden Grade II listed:
For several decades Matfen Hall was a nursing home before renovations in the 90s transformed it into a boutique hotel. Over that time the gardens had been neglected requiring research to establish the original layout so it could be reconstructed albeit resilient enough to withstand the demands of modern lifestyles.
